Thessaloniki’s climate is directly affected by the sea it is situated on. Thessaloniki’s residents and visitors are lucky enough to enjoy an average of 290 days of sunlight annually. The sun shines most months of the year, winters are mild, temperatures are warm and there is limited rainfall. Maximum temperatures usually rise above 16 °C (62 °F), but rarely go over 23 °C (75 °F).
